FIFTEEN HAIKU
* * *
breeze whispers over
disheveled pile of clothing
lovers sleep close by
* * *
first snow
autumn mind leaps
into drifts
* * *
finches tweet on wires
across a metal-filled gulch
soon, ivory covers
* * *
kiss my neck
run your fingers through my hair
make me beautiful
* * *
touch my chest
your fingers entangled
in my pulse
* * *
we have banana
peppers but not banana
plantains: a mantra
* * *
april sunset
redgold hair with flowers weaved
summer approaches
* * *
christmas reave
bloody walls splotched
my
dream
coalesces
green
* * *
last tangled leaves
fall barbecue
begins
* * *
August mist obscures
far off hills
sweat on my lips
from your belly
* * *
the vinegar scent
sings the body electric
fridge on the fritz again
* * *
sap drips
from cutoff branches
dawnrazor
* * *
leaf drifts
in wind, snatched in midflight
by sparrow
* * *
autumn caresses
my face, falls from clouds
splashes late rose.
* * *
hawk descends
rodential dinner hot
in twilight
* * *
