Shopping at Target

“Can you get a cart?” asked Kelly.

“Are we going to buy that much?” laughed Brandon.

“I don’t know. We’ll see.”

“What are we looking for today?”

“Well, we need dog food, milk, and paper towels.”

“Wow, look at that! They’re selling Christmas ornaments for half off!” exclaimed Brandon.

“Really? Okay, we’ll go there after. Let’s get the milk first, it’s right here.”

“Shall we get two percent milk or reduced fat milk?”

“The one we always get.”

“Okay, I don’t think anyone drinks reduced fat milk anyways,” Brandon muttered.

“Now let’s go to the Christmas section. We’ll get the dog food when we’re done.”

“Hmm, should we buy a real Christmas tree this year? I think they smell nice.”

“Yeah, we can get the one with fake snow on it. Oh, wait. I need to get bagels. I think we ran out.”

“Good thing we drove the truck today. We should grab some cereal while we’re in the breakfast section.”

“Alright. Should we buy the same cereal this time?” asked Kelly.

“Personally, I like original cheerios, but I guess we’ll get the sugary ones you like.”

“Okay. If you want the original, you can just get that.”

“Hey, I’m just trying to be healthy. We can get Raisin Bran.”

“Yeah, that sounds good.”

“We should get some lasagna. I’ve been craving it for weeks.”

“Ooh, that would be perfect for dinner! I’m getting tired of fast food and I don’t feel like cooking tonight.”

“Sounds great. How about some ice cream for dessert?”

“You literally read my mind,” smiled Kelly.

“I’m so excited! We should go rent a DVD and dinner will be perfect!”

“Yeah! We can go to CVS, there’s a redbox there.”

“Great! We should walk around a little more and see if we got everything we need.”

“Oh my gosh! Do you see those? They have dog pajamas here! We have to go get them!” said Kelly as she ran over to the dog aisle.

“Wow, they’re even Christmas-y too! It feels like Christmas already! Which one should we get?”
“The red one! It’ll complement Lucky’s fur.”

“Wait, look at these! It’s a dog costume that makes them look like Santa Claus!”

“Let’s get those and the pajamas. I’m so happy, he’ll look so cute in these! Oh my gosh! There’s a little bow tie too! We definitely need to buy that.”

“While we’re at it, we should get fake antlers for the car. That way, we can all match and be festive. I really can’t wait to try these dog clothes on Lucky!”

“Good idea. This is going to be great!”

“That should be all we need in this aisle. Let’s hurry to the Christmas section before all the nice trees are gone!”

“True. Oh, and the ornaments! I feel like we should have the color scheme be gold and white.”

“Sounds fancy. We should get a gold star too!”

“Yeah. We need a new one. I’ll get the decorations. Can you pick out a tree?”

“Okay, I’ll be-- wait there’s no more trees!”

“Are you serious?”

“Yeah,” Brandon sighed.

“Nevermind about the decorations then, I thought they would still have some trees left.”

“Me, too. It’s okay, though. But I think we should get going if we want to eat dinner on time.”

“Alright. Let’s go to the check out then. I think this is everything.”

“Jeez, that line is crazy! We’re going to have to wait at least ten minutes before we can check out.”
            “Hopefully it’ll go by fast.”

“Oh no! We forgot about the paper towels!” cried Brandon as Kelly and he were walking towards the car.

“Really? We can just buy it when we go to CVS for the movie.”

“Whew! Alright. That was a close call! I’m sure glad we didn’t forget anything else. It’s going to take forever if we had to get back in that line again!”

“Wait a second, we forgot the dog food!”
