Seven Haiku

White dots fall slowly

The snow makes me remember

Times in December

Gray covers blue skies

Barren trees frosted with white

No one is in sight

Clouds are rolling by

Blush pink sprinkles to the ground

Petal confetti

My hand meets the stream

Water hits my tacky skin

Heavenly relief

Golden hues of earth

A warm glow envelops me

Soul soothing moments

Rests on my shoulder

Bright, warm feathers brush my neck

Sings high, piercing songs

Smoke from the incense

Nourishment for ancestors

January 1st
